When to visit Selcuk?

You can visit Selçuk all year round, even during the winter, average temperature is over 10 °C. However, maybe the best time to plan a trip to this incredible town is spring and autumn since during the summer temperatures go over 40 °C.

Selçuk is a town with typical Mediterranean climate. You can expect very hot and dry summers and cool and wet winters. Average temperature during summer is around 30 °C and during winter it can go below 10 °C.

How to get there?

Selçuk has a small airport but only for private jets, so if you don’t own one, the closest airport is in Izmir which is 55 km away. From Izmir there are regular train lines, and there is also a good bus connection with all the regional towns. Reaching Selçuk from Istanbul is very convenient as well.

Public transportation

Local transportation is quite decent. They have mini-buses (dolmus) that can take you to Ephesus and other interesting locations. Another option might be renting a motorbike or a scooter to go around as well.
